A walnut wood charcuterie board made with non-toxic food grade finish and locally sourced materials. The wood was rescued from a local mill. Many high-quality early American furniture was made from walnut. Walnut wood is more expensive as it is a bit rarer due to natural limitations such a size.
A write up by the artist:
I am named Mountain because of my shape and also because I am resilient.
I am prized by woodworkers for my strength, grain and color. My grain is so dark which means I am from the heart of the tree.
I am strong enough to withstand heavy recoil and I will not warp.
I am handmade locally using only non-toxic food grade finishes.
I will add beauty to all food displays in all homes.
